In ancient Chinese beliefs, the word Tao (道) means “pathway” or “the natural way”, highlighting harmony with the natural order and balance of the universe. The suffix Lia adds a touch of femininity. Combining these concepts, Taolia was born to create experiences that bring harmony, balance, and feminine energy with scents inspired by the aromas of Asia, updated with a modern twist. 

Simplicity is one of the most important practices of Tao. Therefore, our candles are designed to be minimalistic, simple, and made with uncomplicated ingredients. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches to ensure consistency and excellence.

As quoted by Lao Tzu, a legendary Taoist philosopher, “Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished”. Instead of chasing constant results, we all deserve to slow down, follow the natural flow and use the time to be in harmony with ourselves.
